CIRCUS INCUBATOR

Circus Incubator is a new internationl project promoted by La Grainerie (Toulouse) in which La Central takes part. This project works as an incubator for circus projects and its aim is to allow artists to develop a manner where artistic investigation and entrepreneurial view can merge in a single path.

This project has to open calls: one dedicated to artists and the other one to programmers and professionals.

SECOND EDITION

OPEN CALL FOR PROGRAMMERS AND PROFESSIONALS

Circus Incubator is looking for programmers and professionals coming from Sweden, France, Spain, Finland, Canada and Brazil to participate in the second session of Circus Incubator composed of 1 workshop (Sweden – February 2017).

FIRST EDITION

OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS

We are looking for 4 artists younger than 30 years old who are leading a project in Spain and want to take advantage of this initiative. The project has two phases:

– Research workshop (6-10 May 2016 in Cirko, Helsinki, Finland). Two artistic directors will accompany the workshop. The aim of this workshop is develop an artistic research together, by sharing the participants experiences and know better the professional context of the circus field in Finland.

– Crosscutting workshop (7-11 July in La Tohu, Montreal, Canadà). Artists and professionals will share this workshop in which the artistic research will continue and on the other hand there will be time to exchange knowledge and dialogue.

Travel costs, meals and collective accomodation are provided.

The attendence of the two workshop is mandatory.

OPEN CALL FOR PROFESSIONALS

We are looking for 2 programmers or professionals of circus with the aim to share their knowledge and ways to accompaign young artists; share opinions about contemporary circus and dialogue with artists.
