The La Central del Circ project, managed by the APCC, was born in 2008 with the concours of three wills: on the one hand, the will of the Association of Circus Professionals of Catalonia (APCC) to generate spaces where to be able to train, rehearse, create, research and specialize under the necessary conditions. On the other hand, the desire of the Culture Institute of Barcelona (ICUB) to recognize the circus as a strategic art and incorporate it into the Barcelona City Council Creation Factories map. And finally, the will of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya, contained in the Integral Circus Plan of Catalonia, according to which it was necessary to provide the Catalan circus sector with a space offering the appropriate tools and resources for the practice of circus, the likes of which had never existed before.

Since March 2011, La Central del Circ has relocated to its permanent headquarters, a space of 3,500 m² in the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona, ​​composed of a large training hall, several rooms for research and artistic creation and a showroom.
